Understanding Manual Osteopathy:
Osteopathic Therapy was founded by Andrew Tayler Still in 1874, after the death of his children. He saw where the medical field was unable to help and he wanted to understand more of how the body's structure and function could be improved, so people did not have to suffer they way that they had. Manual Osteopathic Therapy today uses this approach of whole body health, to restore and regain the structures in the body as well as the functions in the body for total health. An MOT practitioner is trained to palpate the body to identify the restrictions and/or obstructions in the body, so they may be eliminated and the structure and function of the body can be restored and regain it's own ability to self regulate. Our bodies are always wanting to go back to balance.
“To find health should be the object of the doctor. Any one can find disease.”
